Policy Statement

Federation University Australia provides learning and teaching opportunities in vocational education and training, higher education and research. It provides relevant programs, high quality teaching, comprehensive support and work-ready qualifications to inspire students from regional, national and international backgrounds, and to further the interest of the University and the constituencies it services.

All graduates of Federation University Australia, its predecessor institutions or antecedent institutions are automatically lifelong members of FedUni Alumni with membership maintained through currency of contact details.

Alumni membership is also open and free to current and past students, staff and friends of the University.

FedUni takes great pride in the achievements of its alumni and presents a select number of awards each year to those who have demonstrated significant personal, community and/or professional achievement.

Stronger links with fellow alumni are built through the establishment of chapters and networks, each with a volunteer committee responsible for organising activities and events, and managed through the University’s Alumni Office. Official networks, such as the Ex-Staff Association Ballarat, are established through development of an association agreement with application for membership, and receive support but are not managed by the Alumni Office.
